What do we do?
We are Structural Engineers who specialise in consulting to the residential, commercial, industrial, energy & renewables sectors.
We assist Fabricators, Contractors and Clients with their projects and deliver them efficiently, on schedule and on budget.
We are based in Norwich, but design projects all across East Anglia and the UK.
We know that finding an engineer who is the right ‘fit’ for your project is no easy task. Further, finding an engineer who can deliver on what they promise, when they promise - that can be even harder. At Odysea we strive for an approach which promotes trust, fairness and honesty with whoever we work with.
How do we do it?
Every project starts with a conversation about what you actually need, not what a standard scope of works assumes. From there the process is deliberately short and direct: you deal with the engineer doing the work, start to finish.
Understand the problem.
Site visit, survey, kick off meeting or a review of what you already have. We start every project with a fact finding exercise to establish the constraints (existing structure, access, programme, budget etc.) and to understand your requirements, before any design work begins.
Model and analyse.
Structures are built in 3D and analysed to the relevant design standard. Loading assumptions are stated, not buried. We’re transparent in our design approach so it can be checked and challenged and issued as a clear, self-contained report.
Draw and issue.
2D drawings and 3D models are produced with the correct level of detail to suit the end user, whether that's a fabricator, a contractor, or a planning submission.
Stay available.
Queries during fabrication and construction get answered directly by the person who did the design.
